Leonard Foster is not a career politician running for office. He is a Nevada citizen running for State Assembly. As your Assemblyman, his votes will be for the people of Nevada. Leonard won't sell-out to lobbyists or special interest groups.

After graduating from Santa Paula, CA High School in 1978, Leonard enlisted in the Navy and attended Naval Nuclear Power School as an Electrician's Mate. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he worked in the water treatment business in the Los Angeles area. 

Leonard and his wife, Charlene, moved to Southern Nevada in 1990. He worked in the casino industry for 13 years gaining knowledge in customer service and business practices. In 1997, Leonard started his own business in the water treatment field. Due to the growth of this business he was able to leave the casino industry and devote full time to the business. 

As a business owner, Leonard understands the need to stay within a budget. Keeping costs down by cutting unprofitable programs and using this money to expand profitable endeavors are the key to being able to stay within a budget and provide the products his customers want at an affordable price. 

As your State Assemblyman, Leonard will take these business skills to Carson City and work to cut the programs that are not working so that the money can be used to expand the programs that are working. 

Leonard understands that the answer to the challenges that Nevada faces is not to simply raise taxes. The answer lies in Transparency, Accountability and Sound Monetary Policies.
