What I Believe
A Stronger Nevada Economy

Let's face it, the Republicans and Democrats have gotten us in the mess we're in. Skyrocketing gasoline and food prices, the highest mortgage foreclosure rate in history.

My opponent, Democrat Andrew Martin, states on his website:

"Southern Nevada home prices have plunged 26.8% over the past year.  Unemployment in Clark County has worsened to 5.5% from 4.4% a year ago. Area gaming revenues and hotel occupancy declined 4.8% and 4.1% respectively."
In Mr. Martin's solution to the problem, he gives us the same old song and dance. He fails to address the real solution to the economic problem, which is the money that we are forced to use. What good are tax incentives, investment in renewable energy, or anything else when the value of the Federal Reserve Note we are forced to use is in a fast, downward spiral?

Let's not forget the republican Chad Christensen. What is his answer? After three terms as our Assemblyman, I haven't seen anything change for the positive. He admits that he doesn't have time for you so why would you waste your vote there?

The Republicans and Democrats do not have the answer to Nevada's Economic crisis!
Nevada needs an Honest Monetary System. Honest money is what Nevada needs. The Federal Reserve Notes that we are currently forced to use are going down in value every day. It's not the cost of gasoline and food that has gone up, it's the value of what you use for "money" that is going down!

The US Constitution states that "No State shall use any Thing but silver and gold as payment..." This has never been amended or changed in any way.

The US Treasury has been minting American Eagle silver and gold coin since 1986 in sufficient quantity to meet demand. Note the minting date of 2007! If Nevada were to actually follow the US Constitution, gasoline would be only 0.20 cents per gallon! That's correct, one American Eagle Silver Dollar today will purchase 5 gallons of gasoline! 50 years ago one Silver Dollar would buy 5 gallons of gasoline!

The price of gas has not gone up, the value of what we are forced to use as money has gone down!
Nevada is the Silver State. I want to see Nevada lead the nation in following the US Constitution, getting rid of the Federal Reserve Notes that are dragging us into the pit of desperation and going back to Constitutional Money!
Neither the Republicans or Democrats want to see Constitutional Money for Nevada.

My number 1 goal for Nevada is to get us on an Honest, Constitutional Monetary System.

Working Americans like lower taxes. So do I. Lower taxes benefit all of us, creating jobs and allowing us to make more decisions for ourselves about our lives.

Whether a tax cut reduces a single mothers payroll taxes by $40 a month or allows a business owner to save thousands in capital gains taxes and hire more employees, that tax cut is a good thing. Lower taxes allow more spending, saving, and investing which helps the economy — that means all of us.

Real conservatives have always supported low taxes and low spending.

But today, too many politicians and lobbyists are spending America into ruin. We are nine trillion dollars in debt as a nation. Our mounting government debt endangers the financial future of our children and grandchildren. If we don't cut spending now, higher taxes and economic disaster will be in their future — and yours.

In addition, the Federal Reserve, our central bank, fosters runaway debt by increasing the money supply — making each dollar in your pocket worth less. The Fed is a private bank run by unelected officials who are not required to be open or accountable to “we the people.”

Worse, our economy and our very independence as a nation is increasingly in the hands of foreign governments such as China and Saudi Arabia, because their central banks also finance our runaway spending.

I support a sound monetary system for Nevada. (Read More Here)

Border Security and Immigration Reform
divider.gif
The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked.

  • Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
  • Enforce visa rules.  Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law.  This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
  • No amnesty.  Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
  • No welfare for illegal aliens.  Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules.  But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
  • End birthright citizenship.  As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
  • Pass true immigration reform.  The current system is incoherent and unfair.  But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation.  This is insanity.  Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

Privacy and Personal Liberty

The biggest threat to your privacy is the government. We must drastically limit the ability of government to collect and store data regarding citizens’ personal matters.

We must stop the move toward a national ID card system. All states are preparing to issue new drivers licenses embedded with “standard identifier” data — a national ID. A national ID with new tracking technologies means we're heading into an Orwellian world of no privacy.

To date, the privacy focus has been on identity theft. It was Congress that created this danger by mandating use of the standard identifier (currently your SSN) in the private sector. For example, banks use SSNs as customer account identifiers because the government requires it.

We must also protect medical privacy. Right now, you're vulnerable. Under so-called “medical privacy protection” rules, insurance companies and other entities have access to your personal medical information.

Financial privacy? Right now depositing $10,000 or more in cash in your local bank account will generate a federally mandated report to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network at the United States Department of the Treasury.

American Independence and Sovereignty

For the record, the real battlefield today is not abortion. It is not homosexual marriage. It is not Social Security. It is not al Qaeda. It is not taxes. It is not inflation. It is not electing conservatives. It is not posting the Ten Commandments. It is not even the high cost of gasoline. That is not to say that those issues are not important and not deserving of our best efforts and attention, because they are. But those issues do not represent the major threat to you today.

The biggest threat is the surrender of our national sovereignty and independence, and the creation of global government. And it is our own political and corporate leaders that are facilitating this fraud upon the American people.

Obviously, the surrender of our independence has been ongoing for some time. However, under Bill Clinton and especially under G.W. Bush, the pace has quickened exponentially.

Doubtless, the biggest reason President Bush has more aggressively hastened the pace of America's merger into supranational government is because he enjoys widespread support among evangelical Christians. Absent opposition from Christian leaders, G.W. Bush has virtually had a free hand. And please know this: before Bush was a Republican, before he was a "conservative," before he was a Christian, he was and is a globalist, as was his father and grandfather before him.

In a nutshell, G.W. Bush is secretly working to merge the United States into a trilateral government with Canada and Mexico. Back in March of 2005, President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin entered into an agreement that binds the three countries into a regional or hemispheric government.
This is one of the central reasons why Bush is so adamant about granting amnesty to Mexico's illegal aliens. Bush is simply following through with his commitment to Fox and Martin.
This new hemispheric entity already has a name. It is called the North American Union (NAU), and it is being created without any input (or even knowledge) from our legislative or judicial branches of government. The official name of the agreement made between the three leaders is the "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" (SPP). Obviously, the new NAU is modeled after the already established European Union (EU).
Folks, please be aware that President Bush has already committed the United States to a regional or hemispheric government. When completed, this regional government will control everything relative to the "security" and "prosperity" of this new North American Union. That includes everything relating to travel, law enforcement, trade, education, military matters, etc. So, what is left out? Nothing.

Please remember, too, that all of this is being done without any input from the American people or their elected representatives at the state or federal level. I would even dare say that the vast majority of congressmen and senators are completely oblivious to the fact that this is even happening. With the attention of the American people (and Congress) focused on the Middle East, Bush and his cabal of elitists are moving forward with plans to surrender our national independence and merge our country into a regional government. Friends, this is the real war; this is the real battlefield.

When America loses its sovereignty and independence, we will lose all of our fundamental liberties. The Constitution will be meaningless and irrelevant. The Bill of Rights will be moot. The principles of religious liberty, the right to life, and the Christian foundation of our country will be passé.
The surrender of our national sovereignty and independence is where the battle currently rages. But where are We The People?

So called free trade deals and world governmental organizations like the International Criminal Court (ICC), NAFTA, GATT, WTO, and CAFTA are a threat to our independence as a nation. They transfer power from our government to unelected foreign elite's.

The ICC wants to try our soldiers as war criminals. Both the WTO and CAFTA could force Americans to get a doctor's prescription to take herbs and vitamins. Alternative treatments could be banned.

The WTO has forced Congress to change our laws, yet we still face trade wars. Today, France is threatening to have U.S. goods taxed throughout Europe. If anything, the WTO makes trade relations worse by giving foreign competitors a new way to attack U.S. jobs.

NAFTA’s superhighway is just one part of a plan to erase the borders between the U.S. and Mexico, called the North American Union. This spawn of powerful special interests, would create a single nation out of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, with a new unelected bureaucracy and money system. Forget about controlling immigration under this scheme.

And a free America, with limited, constitutional government, would be gone forever.

Let's not forget the UN. It wants to impose a direct tax on us.

I feel we must withdraw from any organizations and trade deals that infringe upon the freedom and independence of the United States of America.

I want to keep Nevada a Sovereign State.

Education
divider.gif
Nevada is currently near the bottom in regards to educating our children. We need to make administrators and teachers accountable for the quality of the education they are providing. We need to get the Federal Government out of our school system (it's obviously not working) and bring education back to the local level.
